Photographs of Stretford Boys

August 29, 2011

A while ago I photographed Dee’s two lovely boys in Stretford as a present for their dad.  I haven’t photographed that many teenagers but this 13 year old boy was a joy to photograph, not at all self conscious and as you can see from the images, very photogenic.  His 7 year old brother was also great – at the age where he likes to mess about – I think the photos show his mischievous nature.

Here are some of the photographs from the photo shoot with a variety of different poses of the two boys together.  One of these images is going to be made into a large canvas – I can’t wait to see which one Dee chooses.

Third Photo Shoot for Chorlton Toddler

August 4, 2011

Here are some photos of a little boy from Chorlton.  The first group of three photos show one image from each of his three photo shoots and how he has changed over the last few months.  The others are from his final photo shoot when he just wanted to dance (to the Black Eyed Peas).

Chorlton Family Photography trains with Annabel Williams

August 4, 2011

I went on a great course last week learning how to take lifestyle photos with portrait photographer Annabel Williams and how to edit the digital images with Marko Nurminem.

Annabel takes great photos but has very little interest in the technical side so she showed us how to set up our cameras (aperture priority, F 5.6, ISO 800) so that we could leave them like that for the whole of the photo shoot.  She taught us how to ‘see the light’ on the subjects faces and how to choose locations that will look visually fantastic.

The second day Marko showed us how photographers can use Lightroom to achieve great digital images.  I can’t wait to start using it – it will save so much time when editing photographs.

Here are some images from the photo shoot with three children.
