Christmas Present – Photography Voucher

The parents of this little boy received a gift voucher last Christmas entitling them to a photo shoot and a 10 inch x 8 inch photograph.  We finally did the photo shoot in August when Helen and Cath had some time off work.   The little boy is just 2 years old and he was very, very interested in the flashing studio lights.  He kept pointing at them and wanting to investigate how they worked!  I think he looks brilliant in his red dungarees and they really stand out against the black background.

As with a lot of children of this age he really enjoyed chasing and popping bubbles and I got some lovely action shots.

Happy Hols

We’ve just had a fabulous summer break in Devon.  Even got a few days on the beach.  In the sun! 

Baby Girl Photo Shoot

I took some photographs of a pretty, three month old baby girl in West Didsbury.  Her mum, Helen, received a Baby’s First Year Voucher as a gift.  The baby was very smily, particularly after she had a little break for a rest and a feed.  I will be visiting Helen again soon for the second of her three photo shoots, and this time I will also take some pictures of her two year old son.

Graduation Photographs

I took some photographs of graduates at the University of Manchester.  Unfortunately it threw it down with rain on the day of the Graduation Ceremony and there was no way we could take a group photograph of the graduates standing on the hill outside as planned.  Luckily a lunch was held for the graduates in a  marquee so I improvised and took the large group photograph in there.  The marquee made quite a nice plain white background.

Photo Shoot of Baby (plus strawberries!)

This 10 month old baby girl was quite solemn at the start of the photo shoot – until she saw the strawberries!

Baby’s First Year Voucher

Cath’s colleagues bought her a Baby’s First Year Voucher as a gift when she went off on maternity leave.  The voucher entitles her to three photo shoots (each including a photograph) of the baby to record how he grows in his first year.  I took the first set of photographs when her baby boy was just three months old – he smiled a lot at his mum and I managed to capture some of those smiles.  I’m really looking forward to seeing how much he’s grown at the next photo shoot – by then he should be sitting up, maybe even crawling.
